Cool Baby Clothes... How it all started

It was winter of 2005.  My daughter was just born and I was shopping for cool infant clothing.  I stopped by the local mall and went to all the typical retail outlets.  I found lots of the usual boring stuff but no rocker baby clothes.  All of the cool baby girl clothes, and the cool baby boy clothes were horribly generic and typical.  Who wants baseballs, toy cars, footballs, and all that junk?

I then moved on to all of the online hip baby clothes stores in search of cool baby onesies.  I searched Google, Yahoo, AOL and MSN for all kinds of things... cool infant clothing, skull baby clothes, hip baby clothes, cool infant clothes, cool toddler clothes, unique baby clothes, hip onesies, cool onesies, rock and roll baby clothes, etc. etc. and what did I find?  A small selection of way overpriced cool baby stuff.  I could not believe these stores wanted $36 for a trendy baby onesie or a cool toddler shirt!  Add in shipping and I was looking at over $40 for one unique baby onesie!  That was just insane!  I kept saying... "I can make better trendy baby clothes than that and I can make them affordable!"  So the work began.

I started researching the competition.  I found most were using iron on transfers for their trendy onesies.  Too me that just screams "cheap cool baby clothes".  So we were going to be different and actually go the quality route and screen print all of our unique baby clothes.  I also was not going to settle for anything but super soft, thick, 100% cotton for our punk baby clothing as well.  The price needed to be much lower than the competition but the quality still had to remain on par, or surpass the others for me to be happy.

After many months of research, preparation, artwork, ordering, printing, site building, office furnishing, warehouse arranging and other various blood sweat and tears... In Summer of 2007 Crazy Baby Clothing Co. was ready to launch!
